Firetrucks

Here's where I was last night. 

A fellow photographer and friend of mine, Jennifer Reams, asked me to second a wedding she was shooting that was 100% alllllll out firetrucks. Clearly red white and black were the colors of choice and they thought of EVERYTHING. Even the food was themed red black and white! okay...that last part is exaggerating just a little bit. 

I haven't decided if I'm going to post some (if any) of the photos because it isn't the style of wedding I typically book, but we shall see. 

What do you guys think?

Nicholas and I are off to shortpump today--we are in serious need of some shopping. yes...we.

Emily & Darius

Emily and Darius are engaged! Fun Fun Fun! We had a blast in downtown Richmond laughing, walking far (very far) and visiting the Irish Pub. yum yum :) Simple couple who just loved being around each other. May I also mention that we all safely survived the treacherous walk up and down the many Richmond stairs. I look forward to shooting their wedding in September!

Nick came with me again to Second..he did a fabulous job. I am so unbelievably lucky!

Mr. & Mrs. King

Early Saturday morning Wendy Harrison (my awesome second) and I headed up to Charlottesville, VA to shoot Justin & Amanda's wedding. They were married at the Clifton Inn and it was breath-taking...A photographers dream location. They were some quick planners. They became fiance's in January and were ready to walk down the aisle a short 5 months later. I had the privilege of taking some engagement photos for them back in April and knew their wedding photos would turn out lovely.

Even though it was a scorching 97 degrees with dripping sweat humidity, the wedding was beautiful and a complete success. Here's a few of my favorites. Consider this a sneak peak! Oh, and they are honeymooning in Tahiti! Lucky...

Love

I have not been nearly this excited in a long time. I sped home and I am dreadfully thankful there weren't any citizen protectors lurking about anxiously awaiting to write me a love note. There it was...sitting on my bed...begging to be opened. I played around with it until around midnight....without further ado...my first shot.

I have found a recurring theme with photographers, wedding photographers that is. 87% of them seem to be married to the love of their life or in a most satisfying relationship with their best friend.

love must be contagious.
